Sales Rep for Christian Apparel International!

Tragity and Japan

The nation of Japan really needs our support now, and of course, you do not need me to tell you this. Prayer, supplies, and motivation for our government to act are great ways to help. On their FaceBook page, CAI posted a video that explains a lot. Check it out at http://www.facebook.com/christianapparel!!

Here is a great and emerging band that hit Chattanooga! The Jon Mullins Band had a successful concert at Family Christian Church just the other night, and from the responses that people have posted on Facebook, and the web in general, it sounds like they made a huge splash in the water. Get to know these guys quickly!  The video above is one of my favorite songs by the band live. What do you think?

(Great posts about them at http://www.facebook.com/christianapparel and also become a fan at http://www.facebook.com/christianapparel#!/jonmullinsbandtn!)

Daily Disciple: 1Peter 3:15, 16

“…Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But in this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.”

This at first sounded somewhat different to me. “Know what to say so when people see the good you are doing , they will feel bad.” But on a second glance it is really not saying that at all! Number one, Peter is warning us of those that will try to come at us with all sorts of questions, just to make us trip over our own words. Number two, he is saying, because of those people, know your Bible so there will not be  problems when trying to answer those questions. And number three, if you add good actions to the good answers you remember, not only will the opposition not have anything to say, but you will also be a witness through the example you are portraying. This is what I have taken out of these verses. Does anyone agree or have a different take on it?

Remember This Band?

Echoing Angels is one of the great bands that began in the new millinium. In recent years we began to hear less of them, but they are still making hit singles that people are listening to everywhere! So ignore the lack of news coverage, because they are still news worthy. Enjoy below the song that got them into the spotlight a few years ago, and make it a point to go out and have their CD for yourselves.

How should it be that we do not understand?

I was looking for a great video to show and found this one. Its great! It depicts what it must, hits the intended target, and it illustrates, in a very watered down way, how the Bible says Judgment works when God is doing the judging, and Christ is the exception. Watch this video and enjoy it, share it, but then read some of the comments below it. People are not getting how this is suppose to work, still!  A terrible truth–this is what I think about it.

What do you think about the vid and then the discussions that follow it? Do you agree with its message? Which views do you believe to be also the teachings of the Bible?

Daily Disciple: Proverbs 25:17

“Rejoice not when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles.”

Ok this one is a good one. I suppose I am not suppost to say these things, but I really do not like following this command from God, just because, it is so hard for me!  It’s not something that, being a human, I really like to do, loving my enemy and feeling the need to help them when they have it bad. And I would have to ask, “Who does this honestly?” Do not get me wrong, this type of complete love (that Jesus is always teching his followers, then and now, about) is totally possible, just not without mistakes of course. For me it is something I stuggle with, and a lot! Does anyone have suggestions or advise that makes loving your enemy easier? Is it just something that we as Christians have to work really hard at, every minute of the day?! What do you think?

During the their past 2010 campaign, God did not do anything shorter than amaze everyone involved. Infact, all Mercy Ministries projects of 2010 were 100% supplied for, without any exception! Here are the statistics for items furnished:

1200 Little Debbie Cakes

600 Christmas cards with postage

6000 sheets of loose leaf notebook paper

150 envelopes (one facility only)

8 Christmas banners created by the children’s SS department at our church (one facility only)

585 white T-shirts from Christian Apparel International.

We want to show our appreciation to Mercy Ministries by sharing what God has done through them this past year. Without too many words, these guys are great! Sharing the Gospel locally, giving to those who are of need, and giving the Father the glory that He so rightly deserves, all are showing the positive attributes of being a Christ follower and apart of the family of God. Mercy Ministries, thank you all for being the servants of Christ Jesus, and an example to other Christians, as well.
